Rev. Amelia Marie Petersen
Rev. Amelia marie Petersen, M. Div, MASC
(She/Her)
Over the past 8 years, founding, growing, and leading this community, Amelia has deepened in her knowledge and appreciation of the ways that practicing together supports our thriving. It is by practicing that we establish and sustain real habits of awareness, inclusivity, and belonging. These form the foundation of the change we wish to be and see in the world; they support a more just and peaceful future where people feel at home in their own skin and deeply connected to one another.
Rev. Amelia remains inspired and called to serve people on their unique paths to healing, exploration, greater understanding, and awareness. She received Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Social Change degrees from the Graduate Theological Union at UC Berkeley and is honored to have studied and practiced with some extraordinary teachers along the way: Dr. Liza Rankow, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Baba Farajaje, Rev. Dr. Sofia Betancourt, Rev. Dr. Gabriella Lettini, Swaminiji Saraswati, Pastor John Mabry, and Jiwon Chung among them. Ongoing mentorship from many of these teachers has been essential to the evolving needs of the work and to the various communities we have the opportunity to serve, they are listed here with much gratitude.
If you are practicing, you are one of us and you are welcome here. May we know and be known in the truth of our wholeness, finding balance within and without, exploring limitless possibility together.
weekly online practice circle
Sundays at 8:00 AM PT/9:00 AM MT/10:00 AM CT/11:00 AM ET
As we mindfully approach the intersections of holidays, holy days, and seasonal happenings a theme often emerges. In this Sunday community offering we encounter and engage the theme together by honoring and exploring the sacred teacher we all share - the human body. Participants are invited to offer their unique embodied wisdom and understandings as we grapple with practices and questions each week. This is a radically inclusive space where all spiritual and religious identities and mixities are welcomed and celebrated. Rev. Amelia teaches from the well of embodied practices she is in mindful, reflective, and ongoing relationship with.
Please bring a candle, a bite of food, and something to write with – as you are guided by your heart.
